Susan has practiced yoga
for over fifteen years and is a registered yoga
teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour
level. She is past president of the Suncoast Yoga Teacher's
Association , and a member of the International
Association of Yoga Therapists as well as the National
Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).Susan
received her teacher's certification from the Florida Institute for Integrated
Yoga Studies (FIFIYS) in Tampa. Through FIFIYS, she
has studied with well known teachers such
as Nischala Joy Devi, creator of Yoga of the
Heart, and the faculty from the Swami Vivekananda Yoga
Research Foundation in Bangalore, India.
Susan received her yoga therapist's
certification from Integrative Yoga
Therapy, where she developed an in-depth understanding of
yoga therapeutics for a wide variety of needs and conditions.
She is also a Reiki II practitioner.
Susan recently earned her Associates
Degree in Ayurvedic Clinical Consulting and Aromatherapy
Certification through the Florida Vedic College and Ayurvedic
Center for Well Being in Sarasota, Florida. With
the directors of the college, Bryan and Light Miller, she has
created Yoga Flow Essential
Oils, where she sells fine quality essential oils and
ayurvedic blends.
In the future,
Susan will teach yoga therapy, ayurvedic
aromatherapy and alternative medicine
workshops together with her husband, Dr. Fred Wasserman,
an internist who completed an Associate Fellowship at Dr.
Andrew Weil's Program in Integrative Medicine at the
University of Arizona. |
